Concrete Equipment Innovation (CEI) wasn’t created simply to sell concrete batch plants. It was founded to challenge conventional thinking and advance the future of ready mix concrete production.

In 2014, while assisting a New Mexico-based equipment manufacturer with its entry into the ready mix concrete market, CEI’s leadership recognized an opportunity to rethink one of the industry’s most fundamental processes: aggregate batching. Rather than accepting the limitations of conventional repose batching, they pioneered a new approach that combined Precision Inline Aggregate Blending with proven cement and fly ash metering technologies.

The results were remarkable.

By weighing and blending all graded aggregates simultaneously, the new process produced dense, ribbon-layered aggregate blends that reduced voids, improved aggregate distribution, and helped produce stronger, more consistent concrete. At the same time, dramatically faster batch cycles, simplified material handling, and innovative loading systems delivered production rates that outperformed conventional plants in the same class. The result wasn’t simply a faster concrete plant—it was a better process for producing better concrete.

The team forming Concrete Equipment Innovation conceived and began promoting precision inline blending plants for ready mixed concrete as far back as 2014. The first one fielded was a 3-bin plant sold to a ready mix concrete producer in Kansas in 2016. This plant proved that, even with a 17% reduction in cement in the mix design, the concrete it produced was of such superior strength that it exceeded the 28-day break test specifications by over 1,400 psi.

Today, Concrete Equipment Innovation continues to promote precision inline aggregate blending for ready mixed concrete. As the exclusive U.S. distributor for CMQ Engineering, we offer the Advantage 250™ concrete batch plant. An improved version of the original concept, the Advantage 250™ offers Fast Cement™ delivery, with chisel-nose silos and 1/2 rotary shutoff gates. It also features a full-batch, 10 cubic yard weighed aggregate holding hopper.
